The power of the Force and the magic of Disney combine for Star Wars™ Weekends at Disney’s Hollywood Studios®. Come celebrate the Star Wars film saga and the hit animated television series Star Wars: The Clone Wars every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from May 18 – June 10, 2012.
Throughout the weekend, join celebrities and characters for special shows, panels, and presentations. You will not want to miss the opportunity to meet many favorite Star Wars characters including Wookiees, droids, Ewoks, bounty hunters and Jedi. You can also take advantage of special autograph sessions with Star Wars celebrities. These sessions fill up quickly so be sure to arrive before the park opens to obtain an autograph session FASTPASS® ticket to ensure your place in line.
Bring the junior Jedi in your family to the “Jedi Training Academy” where they can hone their lightsaber skills and prepare to battle with Darth Vader himself. And your Jedi can test his or her wits before the Jedi Council in the Padawan Mind Challenge. Each day kids, ages 4 to 12 can sign up to participate in this live 30 minute show.
Just as the Star Wars films immerse movie-goers in storylines that keep them on the edge of their seats, Star Tours® – The Adventures Continue features multiple stories and scenarios that will hurtle you throughout the Star Wars galaxy in 3-D. All of the storyline’s twists and turns are random, affording you the chance to ride the attraction multiple times. You can glide among the trees with Wookiees on Kashyyyk, kick up some desert sand in a podrace on Tatooine, dive into the lakes of Naboo, weave through the bustling city-planet of Coruscant, blast through the blizzards of Hoth or even help attack the heavily defended Death Star! With multiple ways to experience each flight, you never know where the Force will take you.
Also featured at Star Wars Weekends is the chance to purchase one-of-a-kind Star Wars memorabilia, Star Wars games, plus special Star Wars parades and motorcades. The ever-popular “Hyperspace Hoopla” ends each Star Wars Weekends day with a show filled with comedy, dancing, high-energy music and many of the famed Star Wars characters. With so many Ewoks, Wookiees, stormtroopers, Jawas and otherworldly creatures, you would be wise to have your camera ready.
